SNOOP DOGG’S A BORN PERFORMER: AKSHAY

    Akshay Kumar, who collaborated with Snoop Dogg (now known as Snoop Lion) for a video for Singh Is Kinng that presented the rapper in a desi avatar, is extremely excited to have the rapper perform here.
    Snoop Dogg will perform in India live at the Micromax Presents Snoop Dogg India Concert Tour @ Live Arena, produced by Indigo Live in Pune at Amanora Park on January 11 and in Gurgaon at Leisure Valley, Huda Grounds on January 13.
    The rapper will perform the biggest hits from his new album. The two-city concert will tread the unconventional path and give the fans a day-long party instead of the usual three-hour concert. The extravaganza, which starts off at 12 noon and includes performances by leading Indian DJs, hip hop and B-boying artistes, gaming zones, interactive photo booths, etc.
    Of Snoop’s music, Khiladi Kumar says, “Snoop Lion aka Snoop D-ODouble-G speaks his mind, therefore he speaks to his people. The most important thing for any artiste of any kind to do, is to get people to listen, to understand, to enjoy, that’s what performance and projection is all about. Deep down, Snoop’s a massive family man, his job, his image is a mark in this life, but his soul is religious and his life is for his family.”
    He continues, “He’s a born performer. He comes here and plans, probably, the best day a music fan could wish for, not just lovers of rap, people that love
    music are going to have an
    experience to remember. At the end of the day, he’s an artiste and he knows what to give his fans. I wish him all the luck. I know India will welcome him with open arms.”
To the rapper’s fans, Akki says, “You lucky Lions! I think Snoop’s reincarnation as the Rastafarian Snoop Lion is going be a whole new experience for his fans to enjoy. I say go enjoy, listen, learn, have fun, but don’t be a copy, go home and be you.” And, will he be attending the concert? “I truly hope so,” he says.
