Battle of the bands
The Converse Original Band, an integrated music initiative geared at discovering and celebrating emerging music talent across India named Ganesh Talkies as The Converse Original Band. The music initiative toured Bengaluru, Kolkata, Pune and finally culminated in Mumbai on December 16. Judged by Monica Dogra from Shaa’ir + Func, Luke Kenny and Parikrama, the grand finale saw the bands take on each other head on, and the evening ended with an electrifying performance by Parikrama. Speaking on the event, Madhumita Dutta, Chief Marketing – Pantaloons said, “Through the Original Band our endeavour has been to not just give youth a platform to showcase their music talent but also present them with an opportunity of a lifetime by having them feature on a CD. And we’re truly humbled by the overwhelming response we received across the country.” Ajay Chablani, Business Head Planet Sports, was also present for the event.
