Italian honour for Sajid Nadiadwala
The Italian territory of Puglia’s Official Tourist Board“Pugliapromozione”, along with Apulia Film Commission, has decided to dedicate a travel itinerary to Sajid Nadiadwala — a first in Bollywood. The ‘Sajid Nadiadwala Housefull Itinerary in Puglia’ starts in Gargano (north of Puglia) and ends in the scenic Salento in the south through Trulli in the centre.
“To have a tour after your name in a foreign land is a great honour,” says an excited Nadiadwala, whose Housefull 2 was a blockbuster. Coincidentally, 2012 also marks his banner’s six decades in the industry. “The day I received the award (December 17), marks 25 years of my presence in Bollywood and it is also my mother’s birthday. It is a perfect birthday gift for mom,” he adds.
“Thanks to the production that Sajid Nadiadwala brought down in my region, we have been seen by thousands of Indians who will possibly travel to this part of the Mediterranean Sea,” says Alfredo De Liguori, Marketing Manager of the Puglia Official Tourist Board “Pugliapromozione”.
