Shankar’s hunt for musical talent ends


    Vivel Face Wash along with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd and Shankar Mahadevan announced the winners for India’s first digital talent hunt — Vivel Face Wash presents “MOBisur” — that was launched earlier this year. Shankar said, “We launched this initiative with a goal of gathering musical talent from every corner of India through the power of digital medium via mobile and internet. The overwhelming response we received in the first edition has reaffirmed our faith in the digital talent hunt.” The winners will get an opportunity to record their albums with Shankar that will be released by T-series and Hungama.

They will also receive a cash prize of 5 lakh. Neeraj Roy, MD and CEO, Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. said, “The reach of the digital medium has enabled people from the remotest parts of the country to participate easily in the talent hunt. People from across all
age groups, genders, regions sent in their entries. We will continue to provide platforms that provide such opportunities to our consumers.” Tulsi Kumar and Soumini Paul, AVP, ArtistAloud.com, were also present for the grand finale held at Famous Studios, Mumbai on December 20.
